19. To quantify the GHG emission reductions attributable to a project during the reporting period, the promoter must use Equation 1:
Equation 1: Quantification of GHG emission reductions attributable to the eligible project
ER = CH4 avoided – FFE
Where:
ER = GHG emission reductions attributable to the project, in metric tonnes CO2 equivalent;
CH4 avoided = CH4 emissions avoided by the project, calculated using Equation 2, in metric tonnes CO2 equivalent;
FFE = GHG emissions attributable to the use of fossil fuels, calculated using Equation 13, in metric tonnes CO2 equivalent.
